Can Miquel | Qui som

Can Miquel, a butcher shop and delicatessen offering prepared dishes and now also a tasting room in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, is a clear example of how a business has evolved over more than 50 years. Locally sourced products and quality have always been our guiding principles.

In late 1972, Miquel Palahí decided to open the business in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, based on the premise that the most important thing was always to know the origin of the meat he offered and to strive for the highest quality.

A few years later, in 1985, his wife, Carme Gasull, introduced home-style cooking, preparing takeaway dishes and becoming one of the pioneers in this sector.

In July 2017, Marc, the eldest son, took the plunge to modernize and move forward by building a larger, more spacious, and modern shop, complete with a tasting area called "El Dau." Thanks to our chef's touch, it quickly became a benchmark for good food in the city.

It's worth mentioning that all of this wouldn't be possible without our dedicated team, who prepare everything from a simple, yet delicious, black pudding to a classic, slow-cooked dish, simmered gently and, above all, with great care, and tailored to the customer's preferences (low salt, food intolerances, etc.).
